Photographer Lawrence received his education in the UK, he studied photography at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art in 1971-74
Photographer Lawrence Impey was born in Bournemouth, England in 1951. Although his family moved to Nigeria in 1957, Lawrence received his education in the UK, studying photography in Bournemouth and Poole College of Art College of Art from 1971 to 1974. After leaving college, his interest in the business of music and friendship with several musicians led to a series of photographs, in particular, Squeeze, The Police and The Only Ones. Since 1980 Lawrence has been working in information technology (IT), although a new foray into the music business till now in progress. He lives in Mill Hill, north London.
