William Eugene Smith was born December 30, 1918 in the town called Wichita. At age 14, his lifelong dream was aviation. He took the camera and the parents took photos of aircraft at the airport. And after a while he went for a walk with the children and returned with one of his most famous photographers. It was called "A Walk in the Garden of Eden." From 1947 to 1954, Smith again worked in the magazine «Life». And in 1971 he again went to Japan. A year later, Eugene Smith guards severely beat the company «Chisso». He went to USA for treatment. Here he taught, finished the text of their books, and published photographs. William Eugene Smith died October 15, 1978. The cause of death was an old injury, a complication which was caused by alcohol and drug abuse.
